Rock Lounge to Return With More Creative Expression for the New Year

0

Are you an aspiring or active poet, writer, artist, or musician? Maybe you'd just like to sit in the back of the room and enjoy when others share these talents?
The Rock Lounge will continue their monthly free, open mic experiences of poetry, music, visual arts and other creative expression. On the second Friday of each month, beginning at 8 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 9, the events will offer the audiences anything from poetry, prose, drumming, rap, reggae and blues to featured musicians.
The Rock Lounge is presently located at The Frenchtown Deli, located in downtown Charlotte Amalie at the eastern most point of the waterfront behind the Frenchtown Post Office. Parking is available in the general area.
Food, drinks and other refreshments will be available all evening for purchase. This month's theme is "Space and Place."
Parents who bring children are encouraged to come during the earlier hours of the lounge, since there will be more adult freedom of content shared in the latter hours.
For more information, call Jahweh David at 777-1067 or Mary Alexander
