As a former resident of St. Croix, I can only say, "what took so long" to finally catch Chucky Hansen? As one of St. Croix's biggest crooks, along with many other government officials of her era, she has longed robbed and cheated the people of the USVI and St. Croix. Hansen and many of her cronies have lived high on the hog at the expense of the USVI taxpayers. They were masters of deceit by convincing the locals that they were working "for the people," while really lining their own pockets. I well remember the scandals, and blatant disregard for the law that the USVI "law makers" displayed during my years of living on St. Croix. They are better called the "law breakers"! Hansen should have been convicted of the felony, and by getting off on the serious charge Hansen only shows how much clout she still has!!
