WAPA Offices Close Monday and Tuesday

Jan. 16, 2008 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority customer service offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Day and on Tuesday, Jan. 20, in observance of "President Barack Obama Day" as proclaimed by Governor John P. deJongh Jr.
Customer offices on St. Croix and St. Thomas will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Jan. 17. Those offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. (one-half hour earlier) on Wednesday, Jan. 21, in order to accommodate customers.
The St. John customer office will be closed on Saturday and reopen at 8 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
WAPA is urging its customers to avoid long lines in its lobbies on Wednesday by paying online at www.viwapa.vi or at local banks. Customers can also deposit checks or money order payments in the slot at the business offices on each island or pay my mail.
