Cancer Support V.I. Presents Nutritionist Sandra Day

Feb. 18, 2009 – Cancer Support VI will have its next free presentation, which will feature Sandra Day, RD, LD CNSD, director of nutrition at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Phoenix, Arizona, who is a registered and licensed dietitian with national credentials in metabolic nutrition support. She will present, "Foods that Empower and Prevent Disease," emphasizing diet and lifestyle changes that enhance wellness, including tips on choosing beneficial foods, tips on reading food labels and meal planning.
The lectures will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 4, in the Benjamin Medical Auditorium at the Kimelman Cancer Institute; and again, at 7 p.m., in the Mark Marin Center at Antilles School (in the Children's Activity Room).
In addition, this month two massage therapists from Journeys Spa at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort, Rosa and Eduardo, will be providing mini massages for all lecture attendees at both locations.
The mission of Cancer Support VI is to provide support, education, information and assistance to people living with cancer and their families and friends.
