"Half Married" by Dr. Eddie Donoghue will return to Pistarckle Theater. Performances will raise money for a September tour to the Dramatists Guild in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m., on Thursday, June 11, (Pay-as-You-Can Night), Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. The suggested donation is $25. For tickets, call 775-7877 at Pistarckle Theater.
The play is a farcical comedy that follows the lives of two St. Thomas men, John Caesar and Billy Boy, as they handle their romantic relationships during the slow portion of the island’s summer tourist season.
In an attempt to gain her love, John Caesar declares to the attractive Brenda that he is only "half married" to his church-going wife of 37 years, Thelma Caesar.
Marc Fellnererez, the director of “Half Married,” says, “Dr. Donoghue’s hilarious comedy about boys being boys (no matter how old) will have you either riveted to your seat or falling about laughing as you recognize both the drama and ridiculous humor about daily life in St. Thomas.”
The cast includes George Silcott, Sandra Goomansingh, Christina Harper and Walid John. The production is sponsored in part by the V.I. Council on the Arts.
