St. Croix District to Host Best Practices Conference

School-based personnel, business and government leaders are invited to participate in the Best Practices Conference. The two-day conference, a collaborative of the district and the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE), is slated for Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17, at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School, according to a press release from St. Croix District Superintendent of Schools Gary Molloy. Registration will start at 7:15 a.m., and sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., each day ending with a general session.
Concurrent sessions that will be of interest to K-12 administrators, teachers, parents and business/government leaders are also being offered. Space is limited so confirm your registration today.
Keynote speaker for the conference will be Raymond J. McNulty, senior vice president of ICLE, who will share the message that schools must become aware of the need for change in curriculum, instruction and assessment. Other featured speakers will include: Susan Szachowicz, Ph. D., principal of Brockton High School, Brockton, Mass.; Jim Warford, executive director of the Florida Association of School Administrator; and Susan Kovalik, founder of The Center for Effective Learning in Virginia Beach, Va.
Pre-registration can be conducted online via the Web site (http://www.LeaderEd.com/stx) whereby registrants can select general and concurrent sessions (no more than three per day) by Monday, June 10.
