Two Murder Suspects Arrested on St. Croix

Suspects in two unrelated St. Croix murders have been arrested by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Police Chief Oakland Benta announced the capture of the homicide suspects on Tuesday.
One is charged with the May 6 death of 45-year-old Alfred Hendricks. The other suspect is charged with the June 13 death of 43-year-old Stanislaus McIntosh.
At about 1 p.m. Monday detectives arrested 30-year-old Shaun Gerard based on a warrant. Gerard was charged with murder in the first degree, felony possession of a firearm, possession of an unlicensed firearm and receiving a firearm in connection with the murder of Alfred Hendricks.
Hendricks was killed by gun fire on a dirt road in Estate Glynn.
Gerard is incarcerated on a probation violation charge and was rearrested on the current charges. He was held without bail and returned to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
Before dawn Tuesday before dawn, detectives arrested a 17-year-old male minor and charged him with murder in the first degree and possession of an unlicensed firearm in connection with the murder of Stanislaus McIntosh, who died when he was shot multiple times in Estate Campo Rico.
The minor was held on a $500,000 and he was remanded to the Youth Rehabilitation Center pending further court action.
