The Obama Mamas and Let’s Have Fun were both lopsided winners Sunday in the Quarren Schjang women’s softball league games played at the Renholdt Jackson Sport Complex in Estate Whim. In game one, the Obama Mamas crushed the Reds 12-1, and in the second game Let’s Have Fun whitewashed De Real Deal 10-0.

Obama Mamas 12, Reds 1

The Obama Mamas continued their winning ways in game one Sunday by blasting the Reds 12-1 in five innings. It was the Obama Mamas with 12 runs on 13 hits, while the Reds had one run on seven hits and three errors. Sherry Simmonds got the win on the hill for the winners, while Felisha Crispin got the loss for the Reds. Top batters for the Mamas were Simmonds, 3 for 4 with three RBIs; Jabra Sweeney, 2 for 3 with two RBIs; and Reneah Guzman, 2 for 3. For the Reds, Crispin and Gladys Pagan both went 1 for 1 and Joandra Perez went 2 for 3.

Let’s Have Fun 10, De Real Deal 0

In game two, veteran hurler Marie Encarnacion pitched two-hit softball in shutting out the Real Deal 10-0. The youthful De Real Deal club was outclassed from the start, and the six errors they committed during the game did not help. Let’s Have Fun scored 10 runs on six hits and De Real Deal finished with no runs and two hits. Encarnacion got the win for Let’s Have Fun, while Precilla Evans got the loss. Top batters for the winners were Shinika Chelcher, 2 for 3 with one RBI, and Tricia Andrews, 1 for 1. For De Real Deal, Blora Tutein went 1 for 1.
