Eleventh grade students attending the St. Croix Educational Complex are advised of the mandatory registration being held for the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test), according to a press release from the V.I. Department of Education. All 11th grade high school students are required to take the PSAT, which will be administered on Oct. 14 in the school auditorium.

The PSAT is vital for all 11th graders because it prepares them for the SAT and is the qualifying test for those who are eligible for certain National Merit Scholarships, according to Genitta Richards, chairperson for the school’s guidance department. The deadline to register and pay the mandated $15 fee is Oct.12.
Richards strongly recommends that 10th grade students also register for the PSAT as well as 9thgrade Magnet students. Other students wishing to take the test will be accommodated based on space availability.
For more information, visit the school’s guidance department or contact Genitta Richards at 778-2036.
