Sylvester C. Samuel Sr., also known as “Chester,” of Estate Whim died on Dec. 20. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Marie Samuel; daughters: Geneta Alexander, Yvonne Sam, Fabiana Orange, Berthalina and Gloryanna Samuel, Soria Warner, Deandra and D’shauna Samuel, Mary Modeste and Shirlen Samuel; sons: Anthony Modeste, Ramey, Wayne, Eustace and Sylvester C. Samuel Jr.; and grandchildren: Link Edwin, Tamisha Modeste, Adrian, Chantelle, Randy and Shaun Alexander, Carlos and Michael Rivera, Luisa, Lisa, Yashira and Luis Ventura, Sandra, Jose and Irene Garcia, Bernice Samuel, Shayna Parilla, Selina and Sidney Lawrence, Hilton and Wayne Warner, Isiah Sonny, Sabirina Leonce, Star and James Warner, Dave Samuel, Daniel Macadius, Donna, Derrick and D’shaun Samuel, Marquis Orange, Selena, Jasmaine, Donna and Jada Samuel, Melissa Samuel, Geneta and Tifanny. He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Kimani and Kadel Simmons, Makeida and Michelle Samuel, Eustace and Azani John, Jahzara, Jahmichael and Elizabeth Rivera, Kaleem and Kaleia Deider, Rashawn, Anthony, Monique and Donna Edwin; daughters-in-law: Amalia and Ishnyceveline Samuel; sons-in-law: Gabriel Alexander, Luis Ventura, Charles Orange, Lendel Jn, Luis Joseph Sonny, Filton Warner, Daniel Garcia, Henderson Samuel and John Husband; nieces: Esther Thomas, Valerie, Habibah, Lucinda and Charlene Charlerie; special friends: Johnson and family, Brumble and family and Mumbelly family; as well as other relatives friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
