The V.I. Department of Education’s Office of Instructional Technology will conduct a planned telephone system upgrade beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, that will impact communications to the St. Thomas Main Complex (Kongens Gade) and Curriculum Center in Anna’s Retreat. The phone numbers affected include 774-0100 and 775-2250, and all associated extensions.

Acting Commissioner Donna Frett-Gregory said, “Persons having business with the department are asked to make note of the shut down of phone services during this time. The upgrade is scheduled to be completed overnight, and it is highly anticipated that all affected phone services will be accessible when offices re-open on Jan. 7. We, at the department, request the public’s indulgence as we strive to improve our communications infrastructure to better serve the public and our personnel.”
