Sybille Canton, also known as "Billie," of Sally’s Fancy died on Jan. 4, at her residence. She was 65 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Ella-Jean Forbes and Melanie Springer; grandchildren: Howard Forbes Jr., Antonio Forbes and Angelina Springer; sons-in-law: Howard Forbes Sr. and Kendall Springer; sisters-in-law: Roselyn Lang, Inez Sewer, and Elaine, Jean, Iris, Pauline and Ruth Canton; brothers-in-law: Fidelis, Fremont, Oliver, Mario and Eric Canton, and Clinton Lang Sr. She is also survived by nieces: Chandell, Renee, Sharon, Nicole and Desney Canton, Diane Reed, Brenda Mohan, Gina Bell, Irene Sewer, Ida Pederson and Ivette Thompson; nephews: Raymond, Neil, Mario, Rueben, Jeffrey, Mike, Casey, Curtis, Delroy, David, Doug, Dannx, Devin, Freddie, Roy and Lauritz Canton, Jason and John Bell Jr. ,Clinton Lang Jr., Ray Jr., Ronald and Rodney Sewer; special friends: Pete and Delores Kokinda, Marion Bressi, Alice M. Vigil, Barbel Reittinger, Renate Brumant, Oscar and Seeta Butler, and Roshwita Hancock; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Southgate Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
