St. Croix Environmental Association offers a workshop called Basics of Nature Photography from 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Southgate Coastal Reserve with Eric Crossan, who is a seasoned professional photographer and has operated a commercial photography studio for 30 years. He will cover composition, exposure, lighting control, using flash to enhance outdoor photographs and lens selection. During those years, he has traveled around the world and throughout the U.S. on assignments. Nature and the environment have always held a special place in his heart, and he is enjoying the photographic challenges St. Croix has to offer.
Bring a camera, lenses and, if you have one, a tripod. Also, a hat, sunscreen, and water to drink will make the experience more pleasant. Registration is required, so call 773-1989. The workshop is free for SEA members; the cost to non-members is $10.
