For the second night in a row, residents of St. Thomas’s North Side have experienced power outages, leaving them in the dark for over three hours Monday night and at least one hour Tuesday evening.
Burnt wires behind Silver Dollar in the Altona area led to outages on Feeder 7A, which affected most of the North Side and were to blame for Monday’s outages, according to V.I. Water and Power spokesperson Lynnette Moreland.
High gusty winds on the North Side were responsible for Tuesday evening’s outages.
Moreland reported just after 7 p.m. Tuesday that power had been restored to the affected areas.
