Parents of children with disabilities are advised of the upcoming annual Parental Satisfaction Survey to be conducted territory-wide. The purpose of this survey is to collect data on the level of parental satisfaction with the Special Education Program and related services provided by the Virgin Islands Department of Education’s Division of Special Education, according to a press release from State Director of Special Education Carrie S. Johns.
The State Office of Special Education will be utilizing the University of the Virgin Islands’ (UVI) Eastern Caribbean Center (ECC) to facilitate the survey process through telephonic interviews. This survey process will launch in March 2010.
“The results of the survey will be utilized to assist with improving services to all children with disabilities and their families,” said Johns. “We look forward to the full cooperation and participation of all our parents.”
