Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen has announced that the United States Department of Transportation has issued a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the amount of $116,030.
This grant was issued to the Government of the Virgin Islands and will be used on St. Croix for problems identified within the nine national priority program areas of alcohol and other drug countermeasures, police traffic services, occupant protection, traffic records, emergency medical services, motorcycle safety, pedestrian and bicycle safety, speed control and roadway safety or any problem that constitutes a highway safety problem in that state or territory.
