The University of the Virgin Islands – Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center will be offering a workshop for business professionals who wish to improve their writing skills. Sharpening Your Business Writing Skills will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, on St. Thomas and St. Croix. On St. Croix, the workshop will be held at the Joseph A. Simpson Building, No. 23A Hospital Street in Frederiksted. On St. Thomas, the workshop will be held at the UVICELL Center on the St. Thomas campus.
Participants will learn how to compose powerful, professional documents that get attention and prompt action; overcome writer’s block; recognize and avoid common mistakes; edit their writing for clarity; and much more. The workshop is part of a series being offered by UVICELL in conjunction with the American Management Association (AMA). Upon successful completion of the series, participants will be awarded a certificate, jointly signed by UVICELL and AMA.
