Lilian Alice de Castro Pickering died on April 14 at Schneider Regional Medical Center. She was 91 years old.

She is survived by her son, Winston Pickering; sons-in-law: John Gimenez Sr. and Oliver Christian; daughters: Norma Gimenez, Rose Christian and Peggy Pickering; daughter-in-law, Berta Reed Pickering; brothers: Alonzo de Castro, Conrad de Castro and Donald de Castro Sr.; brother-in-law, George Bell; sisters: Enid de Castro and Daisy Bell; and sisters-in-law: Lucia de Castro, Bianca de Castro and Hazel de Castro. She is also survived by special nieces: Eileen Donovan, Cheryl Pickering Sprauve, Frances Walters, Mary de Castro, Rosie de Castro Kelley and Eileen Lloyd; special nephew, Roy Pickering; grandchildren: Stella M. Saunders, Paul and Candice Gimenez, Terry and Maureen Gimenez, John Gimenez Jr., Beatrice Gimenez, Dwayne and Patricia Nash, Cedric Swan Jr., Rory and Dorian Swan, Roxanne Swan Rogers, Michael Gaddy, Deborah Gaddy, Marc Antony Pickering, TJ and Gizelle Owens, Myiesha Demery, and Naeemah and Omar Kennedy; 35 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; the five generations of the de Castro, Harrigan and Pickering families; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
