Source reader David Knowles asks about sewer repairs going on in Golden
Rock on St. Croix: "The road near Breezes has been dug up for months. All the equipment and workers are gone, but the road is still blocked off. When will they pave and open this road?"
The Source contacted V.I. Waste Management Authority Public Information Officer Stella Saunders for an update.
"The job is on hold hopefully just another week," said Saunders. Work was held up because of a delay in getting the funding processed and disbursed, she said.
"But we are processing a payment with the vendor right now," she said.
Once work resumes, all that is left to do is finish paving and cleaning up, so the work should only take a week to 10 days, depending upon the weather, she said.
"By the middle of June it should be complete," she said.
