Albert Edward Joseph Sr., also known as “Spoils” or “Gran Daddy,” of Nisky died on June 17 at his residence. He was 94 years old.
He is survived by his sons: Milton, Kenneth, Lennard, Halberd Sr., Wilburt, Steve Sr. and Dana Joseph Sr.; daughters: Aileen Swift, Karen Dennis, Yvonne McCauley, Shirley Davis, Deborah M. Joseph, Claudia Joseph Todman and Lavida Joseph Brown. He is also survived by brother, Henry Timothy Joseph Sr.; sisters: Florence Moron, Edith Kean, Eugena Rivera and Beatrice Benjamin; sisters-in-law: Eldra Erenie Petrus, Lesie Ada Joseph and Francis Joseph’; brothers-in-law: Randolph Petrus and Edwin Petrus; special friend and caretaker, Dorothy Forbes; numerous grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at Nisky Moravian Church. Interment will be at Nisky Moravian Cemetery.
