Board of Elections Plans Election Expo at Emancipation Garden

The St. Thomas-St. John District Board of Elections invites the general public to an Election Expo. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Emancipation Garden. The public is reminded that the last day to register to vote before the primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 10.

At this event people will be able to register to vote, change their party registration, ask questions, update their voter registration information, get a picture registration card, view a demonstration of a voting machine, get an application for an absentee ballot and more.
Requirements to register to vote
1) must be at least 18 years of age
2) must have resided in the Virgin Islands for 90 days
3) must show proof of citizenship. Proof of citizenship can be established with a U.S. Birth certificate, U.S. Passport, a Naturalization Certificate, a Baptismal Certificate or a Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
