VING Celebrates Employees' Service Appreciation Day on St. Croix

The Virgin Islands National Guard (VING) is conducting its Employee Awards and Appreciation Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 30, at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall on the St. Croix Campus. Approximately, 100 full-time employees will receive awards, certificates and pins during the Guard’s event.

The event recognizes employees who continue to work diligently under increasingly demanding circumstances. Supervisors from two main personnel categories will recognize their top performers. Employees will receive certificates for milestones in federal and active duty service incrementally from five years with the highest award presented for 30 years of service. The combined full-time service totals more than 800 years.
The VING Human Resources Office has worked diligently to fulfill its mission of providing quality personnel services, support and guidance to customers (organizational employees) to foster growth and to contribute to VING’s mission success.
The Adjutant General Major General Renaldo Rivera and the Human Resources Officer Lieutenant Colonel Kai Schjang will distribute awards to include the service award, incentive award and active duty award
