Habitat for Humanity Holds Safety Training for Volunteers

Safety training will be held for volunteers of the Habitat for Humanity of the U.S. Virgin Islands Golden Touch Program from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the V.I. Housing Finance Authority office, first floor training room (Frenchtown Plaza across from the post office). Volunteers will assist with home modifications for senior citizens selected for the Golden Touch Program in partnership with the Department of Human Services’ Division of Senior Citizen Affairs.
Safety training is required prior to starting work; anyone still interested in joining the program is welcome to attend. Volunteers will perform construction and scheduling, tool and material inventory as well as administrative assistance and food committees.
