Commissioner of the Department of Public Works Darryl A. Smalls alerts the motoring public that a portion of the Queen Mary Highway (Route 70) in Estate St. Georges will be overlaid beginning Thursday, Feb. 10 and continuing through Tuesday, Feb. 15. The department advises St. Croix motorists to avoid this area while work is in progress between the hours of 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alternate routes include Melvin H. Evans Highway, Route 64 and Mount Pleasant. The public’s patience and cooperation is appreciated.
