Free Beginner Genealogy Workshop Set for March 5

The Caribbean Genealogy Library Inc. (CGL) will offer a free Genealogy Workshop for Beginners at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Caribbean Genealogy Library located at
Al Cohen’s Plaza on Raphune Hill, across from Randy’s Restaurant and next to Mango Tango Art Gallery.
The workshop is open to any community members interested in learning how to get started tracing and documenting family history. You need not be a member of CGL in order to attend.
Some topics to be covered include: charting your family, Virgin Islands census records, V.I. church records, Internet resources (including Ancestry.com) and an overview of other family and cultural resources available at CGL.
The Caribbean Genealogy Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2000. Its mission is to identify, preserve and provide access to Caribbean genealogy, history and cultural heritage information resources as well as to promote and encourage their use for family history documentation, education and scholarship. CGL is funded through its membership fees and tax-exempt contributions.
