The Junior Gardening & Ecology Academy Inc. will be conducting early registration through Saturday, April 30, for its 19th annual summer academy for children ages 7 to 15.
Activities will include gardening, field trips, storytelling, hands-on environmental projects, swimming (lessons), academic enrichment, kayaking, drug awareness and prevention, various guest speakers, sports and recreational activities, tutoring, counseling, career development, going to the movies, arts & crafts, computer training, on and off-island camp-outs, and much more.
Free lunch and snacks will be provided through the partnership with the V.I. Department of Education’s summer nutrition program.
The Summer Academy will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 through Aug. 12, Mondays to Fridays.
