All Economic Development Commission (EDC) eligible Virgin Islands suppliers must comply with the annual filings to the EDC as required in order to avoid decertification, according to a press release from Percival E. Clouden, chief executive officer of the V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA).
In accordance with the EDC rules and regulations, eligible Virgin Islands suppliers shall submit annually to the EDC (1) a certificate of good standing or certificate of existence, (2) a copy of their current business license, and (3) a current tax clearance letter from the U.S.V.I. Bureau of Internal Revenue.
All suppliers who have not complied with this requirement are encouraged to contact the commission to update their records and to remain in good standing.
Please submit required documents to the EDC Compliance Unit at these locations: P.O. Box 305038, St. Thomas, VI 00803 or 116 King Street, St. Croix, VI 00840.
For additional information, contact the EDC Compliance Unit at 774-8104 on St. Thomas or 773-6499 on St. Croix. It is also possible to fax 774-8106 on St. Thomas or on St. Croix.
