Pistarckle Presents Tribal Rock Musical “HAIR!”

0

The original tribal rock musical “HAIR!” will open Friday April 1 at Pistarckle Theater. Best known for its infectious music and wild irreverence, the musical leaves no taboo untouched, be it racism, intolerance, sexuality, stereotypes, materialism, war, the military industrial complex or simple pettiness with 32 hit songs like “Aquarius,” “Sodomy,” “Colored Spade,” “Easy to be Hard,” “White Boys/Black Boys” and “Let the Sun Shine In.”

Directed by Frank Bartolucci and backed up by an eight-piece band conducted by Detra Davis, “HAIR!” features a cast of 14 of the islands best singer/performers who have come together to create one of the best shows of the season. Come let your hair down and join Berger and the tribe for an evening of rock ‘n’ roll, dance, exuberance, joy, laughter, revolution and peace. It’s the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.
There will be a pay-as-you-can sneak preview on Thursday, March 31. There will be 8 p.m. performances on April 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 and a matinee at 2 p.m. on April 10.
