Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives arrested Shevron Percival, 21, Monday morning and charged him with first-degree robbery in connection with a May 10 gunpoint robbery at Lorraine Village Apartments.

According to the V.I. Police Department, St. Croix detectives arrested Percival at about 6 a.m. Monday and confiscated a bulletproof vest and ammunition during a search of his Lorraine Village Apartments home—the same apartments where the robbery occurred.

Police said Percival was positively identified as the person who robbed a male victim of cash at gunpoint. The victim was sitting in his vehicle in the apartment parking lot at the time of the robbery.

Percival was held on a $125,000 bail and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
