The Estate Bovoni and Tutu High-Rise Weed and Seed Strategy, funded through the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ), is no longer in existence, according to a press release issued Monday by the Virgin Islands Housing Authority. The USDOJ has discontinued the funding for this strategy, and the second five-year funding to implement it expired in May 2010.
Weed and Seed programs assisted in providing opportunities for academic enrichment, work readiness skills, neighborhood revitalization and other anti drugs and crime prevention activities.
