Mt. Victory Eco-Lodge Hosts Christmas Second Day Party

0

Mt. Victory Camp Eco-Lodge will host the annual Christmas Second Day Party at 2 p.m.– until on Dec. 26. The traditional Boxing Day Pig Roast has become an annual event held in the rainforest on the grounds of Mt. Victory Camp.

The Renaissance Band, will belt their "scratch band" island music in a natural setting. The cook-out will feature a slow-roasted Crucian pig and chicken, green fig or breadfruit salads and season rice. A full plate is only $15. The Jungle Bar serves up all the usual libations plus camp specials: fresh mango daiquiri, mint mojitos and the famous Haitian rum tonic Jouk li Jou. Fresh, cold Fort Christian Brew Pub Draft Beer will be on tap, poured by master brewer Tim Mason.
Headquartered on the Mt. Victory property, Haiti Community Support is a non-profit organization spearheaded by lodge owners Bruce and Mathilde Wilson. Many associate Mt. Victory Camp with the HCS fund raisers that have been held there over the years. Learn more about the Renaissance Elementary School in Haiti, where 225 kids are getting educated and cared for with hot lunches and a medical clinic in a remote mountain village. As always, the Wilsons are happy to answer questions about Haiti and to receive holiday donations.
