Department of Labor Launches Hot Jobs Initiative

The V.I. Department of Labor will highlight approximately 25 territorial jobs each week on its Web site at www.vidol.gov, government access channels 6 and 10, local television networks, and on the internal departmental listing as part of its Hot Jobs Initiative, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the DOL.
Featured jobs are targeted to job seekers of all ages, skill and educational levels. Hot Jobs have a starting salary of $10 or more per hour and are on the territory’s demand occupational listing.
The following jobs are highlighted this week (visit www.vidol.gov for more information):
Environment Specialist STX $73,900 – $92, 000
Jr. Pricing Analyst STT $40,000- $60,000
Seasonal Cooks STJ $12.97/hr
Quality Assurance Analyst STX $12/hr
Property Management Technician STT $9.62 – $12.00/ hr
All employers of the Virgin Islands are required to post all vacant and new positions with the Department of Labor. The department’s Hot Jobs are those jobs that Virgin Islands employers are currently seeking to fill and are highlighted in various disciplines to provide additional incentive and employment guidance to residents.
The department invites all job seekers, workforce professionals seeking advancement opportunities, and employers to take full advantage of this new initiative. The members of the labor force are encouraged to inquire about the department’s resume writing and assessment tools, online classes, and other support services available to assist in their job searches.
