Dalton A. Blyden died on Feb. 11.
Dalton A. Blyden is survived by mother, Ida Freeman Blyden Christopher; son, Xaviar Blyden; sisters: Lydia, Bernice, Edith, Judith and Pearl Blyden; brothers: David, John, Franklin and Carl Blyden; aunts: Ivy Percival, Ada Rhymer and Hilda Cline; uncles: Alcedus, Eddie Freeman, Vanito Percival and Angel Smith; great aunt, Eugenia Marsh; stepfather, James W. Christopher; sister-in-laws: Denise Blyden and Jacklyn Blyden; nieces: Diane Frances, Monique Benjamin, Nicole Grosvenor, Jessica Blyden, Johnna Blyden and Pearl Blyden; great niece, Varria Callwood; nephews: Shawn Benjamin, Loren Callwood and Rashawn Jones: and many other relatives and friends including the Frett, Freeman, Dawson, Blyden, Sewer, Vialet, Marsh, Smith and Hodge families; as well as special friends: Ulric Ferrari, Justin Grant, Ubles Benjamin, Alford Williams and Glen (Ron) Parrot.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Christ Methodist Church, Market Square. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
