0

The St. Croix Foundation offers the following two summer enrichment opportunities for students on St. Croix.

Dove Memorial Art Scholarship The foundation is now accepting applications for the Dove Memorial Art Scholarship. Funded through lead gifts from local attorney Diane Russell and by Don and Patricia Weeden, scholarships of up to $750 will be awarded to young people who are serious about developing their skills in arts or creative writing.

With a broad focus on performing and visual arts, the scholarship will offer grants to students in grades 7th through 11th on St. Croix for the purpose of attending summer art enrichment programs.

Math and Science Scholarship The foundation is also accepting applications for its Math and Science Scholarship Fund. Also administered by the Foundation, these awards grant up to $2,000 to qualifying high school students on St. Croix. Students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a B or better and be accepted into an accredited enrichment program locally or stateside, with a specific focus on math or science.
The grant application deadline for both scholarships is May 15. Interested parties should e-mail their requests and submit their completed applications to the foundation at [email protected]. For more information, call the St. Croix Foundation at 773-9898.
