Parent University Classes Begin, Registration Ongoing

Pertinent and timely topics will be covered this week during Parent University (PU) classes at the St. Croix Career and Technical Educational Center (CTEC), according to Janet Brow, St. Croix District school community relations director.
The following courses are scheduled this week:
Tuesday, April 3
“Eat Right When Money Is Tight”beginning at 6p.m. conducted by Alice Henry, assistant nutritionist, Department of Human Services;
“Stress Busters: You Are Too Blessed to Be Stressed” at 7 p.m.guided by Dr. Olaf Hendricks, M.D.
Wednesday, April 4
“Key to Starting a Successful Business”at 6 p.m.conducted by Carl Christensen of the Small Business Administration and Karen Jones, Small Business Development Center, U.V.I.
“Self Defense Techniques for Families” at 7 p.m.instructed by Louis A. Jackson, professor – International Martial Arts Academy, Ja Goyu – Jitsu – Ryu(dress comfortably)
“Community residents are invited to come out tonight and sign up for these timely and pertinent free classes,” Brow said. “There’s no test, no grades and the environment is non-threatening.” Free transportation and child care services will be available
