The St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center will hold its tenth anniversary induction ceremony of its National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 27. This prestigious society is the first and only such organization of its kind in the United States Virgin Islands and this year’s theme is “We Work for a Better Day, We Work for a Greater Tomorrow.”
Founded in 1984, NTHS is a non-profit organization. It is the acknowledged leader in recognizing student achievement in career and technical education. Students who exhibit the qualities of skilled workmanship, honesty, responsibility, leadership, citizenship, and scholarship are accepted into NTHS.
The focus of NTHS is to help the St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center build and maintain active industry-education partnerships as well as to recognize local businesses and individuals who contribute to the success of students, programs and our schools.
NTHS continues to recognize men and women committed to excellence, values, courage, and achievement.
Twenty-one students from St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) will be inducted. Also being inducted as honorary NTHS members are:
  • Rotary Mid-Isle, represented by Ralph Collins
  • Gallows Bay Hardware
  • Jo Ann Murphy, coordinator; Career and Technical Education
