The newly renovated Maho Bay picnic pavilion will be officially open for public use on June 1, according to a press release from the Virgin Islands National Park Service. The use of the facilities includes both the pavilion and the building, and will be managed through the special use permitting process. Permits are issued on a first come – first serve basis.
Persons wishing to utilize the facility will need to fill out a permit request form (available at the park’s visitor center). In addition to the form, there will be required fees. These required fees include a user fee of $300 (for utilities cost); a refundable deposit of $150 (to be returned after the premises have been cleaned); a non-refundable application fee of $50.
