The Division of Real Property Tax will hold the second round of auctions for delinquent properties located on St. Croix at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5. The auction will continue on June 6 and 7, if necessary. The property sales will be held at the Virgin Islands Cardiac Center at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center, St. Croix, according to a press release issued Monday by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the USVI.
The property auction registration will take place between 8-9 a.m. Potential bidders are asked to register. Bidders will not be allowed to register once the auction has begun.
Presently, 25 properties are slated for auction. Initially, 50 properties in delinquent payment status of 10 or more years were scheduled for sale, but that number has decreased as property owners either paid their balances in full or entered into installment agreements for payment.
An updated list of the properties scheduled for auction and the terms of sale can be viewed on the lieutenant governor’s Web site at www.ltg.gov.vi.
