Rotary Sunrise Installs New Officers, Directors

Rotary Sunrise Club will conduct its annual installation of new officers on Tuesday, June 26, during their regular weekly breakfast meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:15 a.m. in the Windward Hotel on the waterfront in St. Thomas. Outgoing Rotary Sunrise President Nigel Baily will be passing the gavel to incoming President Fred Warden. The new Rotary Sunrise Board members also being inducted will include: Immediate Past President Nigel Bailey, President Elect Shaun Pennington, Secretary Joanne Carr, Treasurer Michelle Hyndman and Sergeant-at-Arms Richard Bryant. New club directors also taking office include: Sandra Kelly, Ron Johnson, Susan MacFarland Helton, Joe Hylton, Diana Parker and Ginny Dargan.
Rotary is a service organization that began over 100 years ago and has grown today to be a world-wide membership organization. Started in February 1905 by Paul P. Harris, an attorney in Chicago, within a decade Rotary had clubs spreading from San Francisco to New York. Today, Rotary clubs exist in over 200 countries and have grown to a membership of over of over 1.2 million members.
