Former Police Lt. Melbourne Clarke

Veteran and retired Police Lt. Melbourne Clarke, also known as "Mel," of Tamarind Estate died on July 8. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Anna Maria Clarke and Lynette Maria Clarke; son, Ray Anthony Clarke; grandchildren: Aliyah M. Brooks, Ray A. Clarke II and Khaleed Adrian Lang Jr.; ex-wife, Alice F. Clarke; daughter-in-law, Verna L. Garcia Clarke; sister, Magnolia B. Verderber; brother, Anthony Clarke; nieces: Leiwanda Verderber and Renee Verderber; nephews: Kareem Verderber and Danzille P. Verderber II; special friends: Vargrave Tutein, Alice F. Clarke, Annie-Day Henry, Brenda Bastian, Daniel James, Arnold Helenese, Eustace Edwards, Charles and Rita Vallarde, Dr. Claudius Henry and the Rasmussen family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A legioneer service will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at the American Legion Post 85 Headquarters, Gallowsbay, A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church Estate Barren Spot. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery Veteran Section.
