Kaleem Flemming, 18, Louis Magras, 28, Mario Magras, 20 and Flavel “Flavious” Magras, 22, were arrested Friday in connection with a May 13 incident at Cramer’s Park Beach on St. Croix, the Police Department indicated in a statement Sunday. They are charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree assault.

Police said the four allegedly fired multiple shots at another person at the crowded beach and were positively identified. After the shots were fired, the suspects fled the area in at least two vehicles.

The three Magras men are brothers.

The suspects were arrested on a warrant issued by Superior Court Judge Julio Brady. They were placed on $50,000 bail each and remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.

St. Croix Deputy Police Chief James Parris congratulated the detectives, forensic technicians and other police officers involved in the investigation of this case. He said the suspects in this case “showed a callous disregard for the hundreds of innocent people who were enjoying a family beach day, and they will now face their day in court.”

  1. Thank you VIPD for making these arrests. If these people are found guilty they should do some serious prison time. It is only by extreme good fortune and their bad aim that nobody was hurt.
