Anselmo E. Richardson, also known as "Selmo" or "Richie," of Estate Williams Delight died on Aug. 29, at his residence. He was 72 years old.
He is survived by his special friend: Elizabeth Liburd; daughters: Laverne Richardson Stout, Vertalyn Richardson Qualls, and Maxine and Joel Richardson; grandchildren: Makeda, Jendayi, Nakura and Kalonji Stout, Bruce II, Trey and Tevin Qualls, Ariann Petersen and Xavier Richardson; great-grandchildren: Avant Smith, Jordan Harris and Bruce Qualls III; sisters: Dorene Christian, Mary Richardson, Gaynell Richardson-Petersen and Sylvia Stewart; brothers: Mario, Haraldo A. and Franklin Richardson; brothers-in-law: Floyd Petersen and Mark Christian; and sisters-in-law: Sherill and Hyacinth Richardson, and Marcha Louis.
He is also survived by sons-in-law: Bruce Qualls and David Stout; nieces: Imagene Mallory, Patricia Richardson, Joan Mclver, Sherema Petersen, Engrid Stewart, Kisha, Kenya and Keyra Richardson; nephews: Divincy Francis, Oumbashi Petersen, Franklin Richardson, Craig Todman, Dwayne Petrus, Warren, Alicio and Rasheem Richardson; uncles: Elias, John and Camille Parris; special friends: Leslie Meyers, and Anna Soto and family; cousins and other relatives: Josephine Hector, Marie Schuster, Sharon Brown, the Parris, Petersen, Ballentine, Edwards and Fredericks families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at the Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will follow at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
