Episcopal Schools Celebrate During the Week of Oct. 7-13

0

The Episcopal Church, through the National Association of Episcopal Schools, has designated the week of Oct. 7-13, as Episcopal Schools Celebration. The purpose of this celebratory week is to highlight the ministry of the nearly 1,200 Episcopal schools and early childhood education programs throughout the Episcopal Church. The theme of this year’s celebration is “The Gift of Joy and Wonder in All Your Works.”
As the only Episcopal school in the U.S. Virgin Islands, All Saints Cathedral School invites the public to celebrate with it this week at any of its weekly chapel services – from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and at its school-wide Olympic Beach Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Magens Bay on Oct. 12. In addition, all of the Episcopal Churches on St. Thomas invite the public to their Sunday services on Oct. 7 for a special prayer of thanksgiving for all Episcopal schools.
Diversity is a hallmark of Episcopal schools’ missions, and All Saints Cathedral School is no exception. While the school upholds a value system deeply rooted in Episcopalian faith which honors, celebrates and worships God as the center of life, as an Episcopal school it also fully embraces, respects and honors the faiths and backgrounds of all of its students and their families.
