Arts Alive will present its 32nd Annual Art in the Garden Arts & Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 24 and 25, at the colorful and historic Danish West Indian Farm known as Tillett Gardens. It will feature fun for the whole family, including shopping, interactive arts activities, life music and performances, food, drinks and more.
Traditionally, the popular event has been the place for early holiday shopping and this year festival visitors will find and array of unique hand-crafted items for sale at booths set up throughout the outdoor space, as well as inside the many shops of Tillett Gardens. Featured items will include silk-screened fabrics, pottery, jewelry, leather goods, photography, local crafts. Tillett’s famous silkscreen prints and maps, functional and decorative pottery, wearable art, sculptural clay art, garden art and decorative plants, beaded jewelry, folk art, hand-painted ornaments, quilted items, scented soaps and candles.
For those who would like to get in on the action, the Children’s Art Table (C.A.T.) will be open and hands-on, interactive activities will be offered, allowing attendees the opportunity to participate in the arts explore their own creativity.
For those who prefer to observe, local musicians, performers and singers will be making appearances on the Tillett Gardens stage, including favorites John Hodges, Sarah Smith, Janet Reiter and Jammin’ Jerry Z. A local Zumba troupe will also be doing a demonstration.
