UVI and Etleman Observatory Host Public Observation Session

The University of the Virgin Islands College of Science and Mathematics and the Etelman Observatory on St. Thomas will host its next public observing session using the new V.I. Robotic Telescope from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 (rain date is Oct. 27). A waxing gibbous moon will be on display as will views of the planet Jupiter with its Galilean moons and the Ring Nebula stellar remnant. The evening will also feature a video presentation on and discussion of the structure of the universe and our place within it.
"We are pleased to invite the St. Thomas public to join us and enjoy the night sky, views of our galaxy, and a discussion of interesting and exciting topics in the world of astrophysics and space science."
