Etelman Observatory Holds Public Observing Night

The University of the Virgin Islands College of Science and Mathematics and the Etelman Observatory will host its next public observing session using the V.I. Robotic Telescope (VIRT) from 7:30-10:30 pm. on Friday, Jan. 18, at the Etelman Observatory and Science Center. Guests will be treated to views of the planet Jupiter with its Galilean moons and the Orion Nebula star forming region. The evening will also feature a video presentation, "Black Holes from Big to Small, Inside and Out." and lecture on the nature of black holes.
"We are pleased to invite the St Thomas public to join us and enjoy the night sky, views of our galaxy, and a discussion of interesting and exciting topics in the world of astrophysics and space science."
