Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve, located on St. Croix, will have new hours for its Visitor Contact Center at Salt River Bay above Columbus Landing. The facility will be open only from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays, effective Friday, March 8. This one day a week opening will be effective until June 15 when the facility will close for the season.
The early closure of this facility is due to federal government funding reductions that are effecting the National Park Service with a 5 percent across the board budget cut.
