Human Services Receiving Applications for Head Start

The Department of Human Services’ Head Start program is currently accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year. Eligible children must be 3-5 years old on or before Dec. 31, 2013.
The application process will be completed electronically at the Head Start office. No paper applications will be distributed. Parents and guardians are advised to provide the child’s birth certificate, social security card, immunization card and proof of family income. Social service aides will be available to assist from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, on St. Thomas at the Head Start Multi-Purpose Center in Sugar Estate and the office in Knud Hansen Complex; or on St. Croix at the Head Start Administrative Building at 179 Anna’s Hope.
The Head Start program serves children regardless of race, religious belief, sex or disability.
