Christophene Rebecca Henrietta Joseph, better known as “Ernestine Joseph” or “Ernie,” died on March 12 at Schneider Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her son, Fitzroy Prosper; grandsons: Kamalie Matthews, Elijah Prosper and Noah Prosper; brothers: Maurice Gore Joseph and Rolston Joseph; sisters: Laurel Joseph (England) and Emerald Joseph; sisters-in-law: Myrtle Joseph, Elaine Joseph and Agatha Joseph; nephews: Magason Joseph, Andre Christian, Calmore Christian, Alister Joseph, Dexter Joseph, Carl Joseph, Val Joseph and Kareem Joseph; and nieces: Sandra Christian, Stacy Joseph, Chenice Joseph, Michelle Joseph, Blondell Southwell, Dali Brown and family in Antigua, Sharon Christian and family in Antigua, Allegra and family in Antigua, Valarie Andrews and family in Canada, Cassilda Connor and family in Florida and Yolanda Joseph.
She is also survived by special friends: Carl Isaac and family, and Joycelyn Reid; cousins: Brenda Richards and family, Dorothea Richards and family, Pats and Richie Richards, James Joseph, Jimpy and family, Carolyn and family, Tinie and family, Winston Jarvis and family, Nalda and family, Babs and family, the Philip family, Veronica James and family, the Tonge family (St. Thomas and Antigua); as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention, Including: co-workers at the Tourism Department, The V.I. Nursing Board, Charity Francis and family, Andrea, Ruthlyn Simon, Glenette and Cythia.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 25, at Memorial Moravian Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Moravian Cemetery.
