Joseph Alexander Clement, better known as "Joe," of Estate St. George died on April 30 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. He was 87 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Henry-Clement; father: Thomas Clement; siblings: Doris, Maude, Olive, Samuel and Oscar; and nephews: Steve, David, Roy and Thomas.
He is survived by his spouse, Ruth Clement; daughter, Gweneth Bernadette Clement; sons: George Morales, Glendyne Richard and Sylvannis St. Clair Clement; grandchildren: Curtis, Shanique, Trisha, Gerald, Keith, George Jr. Javohn, Daquan, Brandi, Kevin, Kelli and Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Curtis Jr., Taj, Deja and Malik; daughter-in-law, Frances; nieces: Eileen, Centillia, Genova, Gweneth, Jacinta, Mellinda, Yvette, Francine, Rosetta, Petrenella and Fernella; nephews: Morris, Charlesworth, Henry, Illford, Vincent, Thornell, Wentworth and Cortwright; great nieces: Eileen, Janet, Sharon and Helen; great nephews: Ulysses, David Ryan Jr., and Barry and Darren James; special friends: Michelle Martinez, Aubin Scotland, the Tysons, the Lawrences, the Combies, the Jacksons, Jean Bryd, Sheila Thomas and Pauline Willocks; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Christiansted. Interment will be at St. John’s Private Cemetery, Christiansted.
